the Intrusion of Real Life

I just want to tell everybody that I am bogged down with a report for school, a magazine column, a small side-job, demos for twelve new songs, a remix for Shugo Tokumaru, and Christmas shopping - all of which have to be completed by the time I go back to the United States for the Holidays on the 18th. Last week, I read around 300 pages of books - just for this blog - and the duties of my real life have finally caught up with me. I won't be totally absent on the so-called blogosphere (are we doomed that all new words will be horribly geeky?), but I want to give you a heads up on the infomation slow-down planned for the next week.

Enjoy real life. Personally I dont like to use the word "blog" in any form whatsoever. A web page is a web page, the web is the web, no matter what tools you use to compose and display the content.

Haha. Yeah sometimes I wonder how the shit everyone is so prolific on the debate here. Doesn't anyone have a day job? I am heading back to the US on the 15th as well for the first time since the re-election. Being surrounded by the sights, sounds, and sensations of the mother once again I imagine will offer a unique opportunity to shift / cement / or otherwise re-evaluate my outside perspective on its half-divided ass. I eagerly await at least a partial feeling of disgust.

Enjoy Real Life. (sometimes).

I completely stopped fretting about whether or not I "fit" in Japan once I took a trip home for the first time last year. I am more out of place in the Houston airport than in Tokyo, for sure.

marxy, you are a Texan as well? Me and wife just went into DFW in October. It was fun to visit, but I cant imagine living there again.

Oh shit. I am anticipating very similar emotions. I imagine it will be nice to see old friends, but I don't think I will be considering the place as liveable anytime soon.

I am not a Texan, but fly through Houston on my way home to the Deeper South - the Florida panhandle. I find Texas to be all strip malls and highways.
