Times like these make me want to be in Japan very badly. No Christianity = no one cares about Pope's death or Mrs. Schiavo (like me). How has the Japanese media been covering these two cases over there?
Posted by: dzima at April 4, 2005 11:35 PMI think the Pope's death is an International News story, but I haven't heard a thing about the Schiavo case. Why would the Japanese care?
Posted by: marxy at April 4, 2005 11:50 PMterri's in the news too... but not all that much. it was about the only thing they we airing on the us news breifing bit for a week. The pope is the biggest story in japan right now too... if you watch the news.
though mitch hedberg's death is not out. he hadn't even died yet when people stopped caring about terri schiavo.
Posted by: nate at April 5, 2005 12:07 AMI would love the media to "rediscover" Mitch Hedberg's death, but I fear that he died at a rather inopportune time.
Posted by: marxy at April 5, 2005 12:23 AMmitch hedberg's dead!!Z?
this changes everything.
Posted by: matthew at April 5, 2005 12:40 AMin memoriam, a quotation, if I may...
"When someone hands you a flyer on the street,
it's like they're saying,'Here, you throw this
away'".
esp. appropriate to Japan.
MH RIP I will now shed some tears.
PS Love your site Marxy. I'd buy your album if I could get it online!
