My College Alumni Journal just did a feature on an artist who grew up overseas and missed the high school experience and never finished college. Now with her kids grown she found a 1964 high school yearbook in the street, enrolled in art school has proceded to paint black and white portraits of everyone pictured. I think she's done like 60+ of 250 or so and has plans to contract artists who can copy painting styles in China to do the rest so she can finish the project and move on.

Oh - p.s. I'm in Tokyo 5.21 to 5.29
