Girls Tape Store "distance"

first you have to love the name. second. i pretty much really like this.. witch could explain why they are now signed to minty fresh japan. this is from their release on sucre.
dreamy japanese synthpop. maybe like a more poppy less techno overrocket.
hands down, if you like synthpop. and you like japanese synth pop. i can't imagine you not liking this. it would be madness.. i'm going to now pat myself on the back for finding this mp3.

Hey there again, nice find on the synth-pop - maybe how sens-unique would sound if they lay off the sugar and let one of the girls sing...

Also the two 'Su' songs were tops.

I have this link from a commentor in momus' blog to some very nice 80's j-synth-pop that feels quite similar, you may like it... (i'm posting his index without permission and can't remember the guy's name, but here it is!)

Tao-Tao - Masami Tsuchiya
Track 7 on Nouvelles Vagues - Moon Riders
Mada - Chakra
etc...

files without obvious album track numbers next to them are something else altogether - ignore!

And "Niji" by Girls Tape Store, from the V/A compilation "Virtual Architecture", is one of the best songs of the 00's, I think. Really recommended if you haven't heard it!
