leap day / leap year

well its feb 29th. so i figured i should post something to just mark the day. i think the 29th should be like a nothing day. its not the weekend. or the weekday. its just time. so, you could work if you wanted to. but you wouldn't have to, etc.. maybe no tax's on certain stuff? or it could be like new years. where no one is really expected at work the next day. in any functioning form anyways.. so we would drink make a ruckus on the 29th. well here are my leap day 2004 CD selections for the day. sweet trip. "design etc.." m83. "dead cites, etc.." pipas "bitter blub EP" the russian futurist. "lets get ready to crumble" lucky dragons - limited 7" lathe cut on 555 records. [super ace series!!!!!]

mornings

spending the morning [morning used as in.. the first 4 or so hours after you wake up]. to just sit around and listen to music, drink some coffee or tea. i think is equaly as valuable as anything one could do. granted, it is a none paying job. but sometimes the reward can be greater then any paycheck.

there is cardboard around my cds

right now. all of the CDs im listening to [currently enjoying]. are packaged in digipacks. i mean its like 7 CDs.. all of them are in digipacks. it makes me wonder if there is some connection between them. in style that is. beyond the music. is the digipack a lifestyle choice? are CDs in digipacks perceived to be better? or maybe worse.. i know if it was up to me, and money was no issue [digipacks cost more to produce then a regualr clear jewel case, with full color liners] i would have digipacks made. though its not always in my control.

from tokyo

while new york freezes into some anthropomorphic metropolitan parody of a five-member superhero group dealing only with ice-based superpowers (Ice Man, the brother from Wondertwins, Icicle, the Freezer, and Staten Island), tokyo is a comfy 45 degrees daily. this mild weather fits the general climate of mellowness that descended sometime on the city at the last exact moment a new middle school girl transformed into a kogyaru. you may have heard that japan is "crazy" and it's still true, of course, but much less crazy than it used to be.

you will all be happy to know that macdonald duck eclair and micro mach machine are indeed comprised of real people, and they are all well. over on this side of the world, dinner with the aprils, PINE*am, micro mach, and the head of Softly! is a common occurance. maybe this place is crazy.
