summer

so its summer. i can't deny it any longer. and so its depressing. but to liven' it up.. im having a battle of noise pop summer.. though this normaly has been just leading to shoegaze type stuff. you lose points for sound like you like MBV to much. so far, i have to say. in the lead is the NYC group "Asobi Seksu". though the album drys up a little bit later on. its has a 4 or 5 completely solid noisy pop songs on it. if you know of some good noise pop.. let me know. right now hartfield, maikotobranco, sweet trip, swrilies, and of coarse boyracer are making the rounds.. hoping the frenchmen CD can take on all on the battle, but well see. im still waiting for that one. also, the radio dept. is set to see a new someting this year. so they'll probly end up winning..

my post office

so for the 4th time this week i have gone to my local post office. local being about a 15-20 minute walk. and have only mailed 4 things. why, oh why would i go so often. well, it appears that the u.s. postal service decided to change the customs form i need to fill out to send stuff.. overseas. its really not that differnt. so no big deal right? well, even though it seems that everyone in front of me normaly needs to mail stuff international. myout post office has decided its no big deal weather they have these new custom form or not. they did have a few starting on monday, so few infact, that they would only give me one. even though i had 10 things to mail overseas. so i have gone everyday. trying to get more forms. and everyday they would only give me 1. and now today. they were actualy out. they are not sure when they will get them, and someone else wasn't even sure if they had ordered them.. ??? just plain odd. now its no big deal to go into manhatten to mail stuff. but it just does take longer. i just find the whole thing really odd.

suntory vs. ashaii: amino acids

ok, on one side you have suntory's animo drink, "animo shiki". and then you have asahii's "amino supli". both promise to replunish your body's amino acid supply. apparently something important i have never heard of. both contain the same stuff, witch is nothing other then some sodium, and suppostly amino acids. and! they are both cloudy white. an untrust worth color i feel. the suntory has great crappy drawings of some guy, flexing and stretching. i didnt know amino acids had anything to do with flexing and stretching, but i didnt know i need to resupply my body of its much needed animo supply. so what do i know. but beyond that. the graphics leave a little to be desired. asahii doen't play them games. nice clean and simple design. and "supli" is a great hook. its like "supply", but sounds more french. possibly a made up word? im to lazy to find out. they both in theory taste the same. but, the suntory taste is more medicine like. and it just leave one awfull after taste. where as the asashii goes down smooth. but comes out just as quick!! regardless of this sort of hindering downfall. i would choose asahii's "amino supli" over suntory's "amino shiki" anyday. but the killer here is. only really "animo shiki" is available in nyc.. witch, if i wish to keep my apparently important supply of amino acids up, i must drink. you can find animo supli. but i've only found it at one place, and you have to be prepared to shell out over 3$ for a 500 ml bottle. where as the subtory is only 2$. and i can get it in my neighboorhood.
