doppler radar

rain, its been raining for about a day. and more rain is still expected. look at that map. their we are. right in the middle. i think its great. not only has summer already been to long. (though over 1 week of summer is to long) but the rain helps cool down the already pre-heated city.

boom.

take that over crowed nyc events. watched the "big" firework show from the roof of my building in astoria QNS.
it was quiet fun as most fo the tops of the building were filled with people.. yelling and clapping. plus local fireworks coming in from every directions. plus it was great weather to be on a roof at night with a cold one.

my 'hood love fütball!

so i live in a greek neighboorhood. actualy the largest collection of greeks outside of greece. so todays events we're unavoidable. even leading to helicoptors hovering over my 'hood. fairly close to my building even. why? well unless your in middle america.. you know that greece beat the czech republic, to go into the euro cup finals against portugal. so people actualy flooded out into our main street [out of the bars showing the game] and partied in the street all afternoon. followed by car horns all day. and then fireworks at night. needless to say, it should be an interesting july 4th. not only.. the whole 4th of july thing. but if greece wins.. it'll be like crazy fireworks all day i guess..
